Stayed in a cozy spot just a tenth of a mile from the ferry terminal—a perfect jump-off for our next adventure. It had a charming coastal walk nearby and plenty of eateries to explore. Free street parking was a sweet bonus!

Would be happy to recommend for a fleeting stay
Charming pub, spacious room, with a flat-screen TV and electric kettle that made our stay comfortable. A convenient location for exploring Old Harwich and catching the nearby foot ferry to Felixstowe.
All good.

What a blast! The room was super comfy, and I loved the delicious full English breakfast each morning. Although the continental selection could've been a bit fresher, the cosy atmosphere made me feel right at home. Definitely check out the pub downstairs for dinner! 😊

Charming, charming, charming.
I was swept away by the historic charm of this sixteenth-century pub that combined the old with the new perfectly! The breakfast was a delightful spread of made-to-order options and fresh fruits, including strawberries that felt like a treat. Plus, the complimentary hot chocolate in my room was the cherry on top of a cozy stay!

Solo traveler, this is the spot
What a blast! ! The breakfast was superb – full English of course, made fresh for you. And let’s not forget the staff, friendly and helpful, just made the whole stay memorable.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but what's that compared to a great experience?

Charming historic stay with excellent breakfast
The hotel has a lovely sixteenth-century pub charm, making the stay feel special. The breakfast was exceptional, with a variety of fresh fruits and made-to-order options that truly made my mornings wonderful. The staff were friendly and provided great recommendations for local attractions, enhancing my experience. I was disappointed that the coffee served was not up to par, as they only offered Nescafe.

Charming Stay with Room for Improvement
We enjoyed our stay in a spacious family room, though check-in could be better organized. A warm breakfast was served despite the quiet morning atmosphere. Clearer signage would help first-time visitors navigate easily. Recommended for couples seeking a cozy getaway!

satisfying stay with room for improvement
The breakfast experience exceeded my expectations with a wonderful selection of fresh fruits and made-to-order hot options. The room was well-organized, offering comfort and a pleasant ambiance.
The walk to the harbour, while quick, could benefit from clearer signage.

A charming small hotel with a location that’s only a minute’s walk to the harbour. The breakfast stands out with a generous selection of fresh fruits and a cooked menu made to order. Enjoyable coastal walks and numerous dining options nearby add to the experience, though the coffee could greatly improve, as only Nescafe is offered.
